Godspeed You! Black Emperor annonce un nouvel album : G_d’s Pee AT STATE’S END!
Le groupe montréalais annonce la sortie de son prochain album qui paraîtra le 2 avril. À peine 24h plus tard, tous les disques vinyles sont épuisés via la page Bandcamp de GY!BE.
L’annonce est accompagnée d’un long message dans lequel Godspeed You! Black Emperor (GY!BE) explique qu’il a écrit l’album sur la route lorsque cela était encore possible, mais qu’il l’a enregistré avec des masques au début de la deuxième vague en compagnie de Jace Lasek. Ils en retirent aussi que les prêcheurs de l’Apocalypse ont changé leur discours : la fin du monde n’arrive plus, elle est là. Vous pouvez lire l’intégralité du message un peu plus bas.
Toujours aussi politiquement chargé dans son message, le groupe montréalais nous propose un premier album depuis Luciferian Towers paru en 2017. GY!BE annonce du même coup qu’il n’y aura pas d’extrait disponible sur les plateformes en ligne avant la sortie du disque le 2 avril prochain. La seule manière d’entendre un extrait sera chez votre disquaire indépendant préféré qui aura accès à un maxi qu’il pourra faire jouer en magasin. Par ailleurs, c’est seulement via les disquaires que les mélomanes pourront précommander l’album. Voici la liste des boutiques où vous pouvez tenter votre chance :
